I got a whole box of the Chinese CFL lightbulbs in the mail from my power company, unannounced and unasked, and uncharged for.

I thought it was rather peculiar that the power company would want me to use less of their product. My suspicion is that the government either paid for the lightbulbs through some green program, or forced the power company to for some other reason.
