Thanks for the heads-up on Ensign. Will read up on it. Murray Edwards co.s always worth that much! Am tempted to buy some NE now though, so the stats will have to beat NE. Western Digital? SEB the frying-pan people?

Two thoughts: some of the best and biggest companies are cheap, so a good time to trade up in quality if that's your thing, big oil too: Exxon pe 11.68, Chevron 9.18, Total 8.93. Or Microsoft pe 11.39, IBM pe 11.92, JNJ pe 12.17, WMT 12.76, big pharma etc. About peak oil, very possible, but the (small ) oil co.s I follow are jumping for joy because new horizontal technology is making big production increases possible. I guess a good economic outcome would be to own companies that were bucking the larger trend.
