Confession: I watched a few episodes of that show Lie to Me and I thought a couple of them were interesting -- but now it is all super-smarts and instinct on the part of the main character and as I watched, the more outlandish and viscous and visceral they made him -- I think it is stupid now -- but there were a couple of interesting episodes -- what I decry is no portrayal of "reflective thought" -- characters are flat and unchanging -- they never "grow" or seem to "change their minds" about someone or something -- all of it is about "god-like" powers and supposed "intellectual prowess?"

And sex, sex is always a "power play" on the part of males or females ... call me goofy, but where is the gentleness and the kindness. Foreplay is out, rough and tumble and conquering or getting an advantage is in!!
