The last time I checked older people die everyday. I looked at today's obituary column to make sure. Most of these people were taking some kind of medication to help them lead healthier and sometimes happier lives (sometimes even systemic drugs!).

Some die after taking their medication, some die while exercising, some die while having sex and some die after drinking water. These facts are facts of life... and death. Unless there is a direct relationship between the death and a particular medicine, these facts have little bearing on the acceptance of a pharmaceutical product in the marketplace.

As evidenced by the lack of success for the "Prozac made me do it" legal suits, pharmaceutical companies are well prepared to protect themselves against unjustified lawsuits.
