Re fast-track vote:

I thought that I heard that it would come to a vote today (Sunday) but haven't seen or heard anything this evening.

I do feel some sympathy for the US citizens - it seems as if most benefits arising from free trade will be horsetraded away to special interest groups well in advance of any agreement. But then I remember our marginal tax rates versus yours and all sympathy disappears. :(
