If I remember right, he pegs the qualifying number for "critical mass" at $1.4 million or $1.5 million. Also, he doesn't specify the age of the person. So I guess it applies regardless of whether one is 40 years or 50 years or 60 years of age. The only assumption is that you withdraw a limited percentage of the money every year (5% ?)
