And the dollars will never work out according to what I presented logically unless one of my premises is false. If you think one of the premises is false than which one (or which ones if its more than one)?

Are you arguing that base production doesn't have to be available almost all the time?

Are you arguing that peak production doesn't have to be something that's there whenever you need it if you want to have a reliable power grid that avoids brownouts and blackouts?

Are you arguing that wind can be relied on to produce electricity whenever you need it?

Are you saying that wind is cost effective even if it can't produce either base load or peaking power, that you can just back it up with some other peaking form, and paying for both wind capacity and gas (or other) capacity won't significantly add to costs.

To do a dollars and cent analyzes for wind meeting its role as a major producer you have to define a role for it. The problem is that in terms of major power production it doesn't have one. You haven't proposed one even as a hypothetical.
