Roger, I don't think it's the same broker. The account that I am closing an IRA that I have at Jack White & Company. I'm moving the funds to Datek.

It's unfortunate that they have let themselves get into the untenible position they are in vis-a-vis online trading. They use a third-party service, PAWWS, probably the most unreliable online trading sevice going. Jack White is a local San Diego company, they a large selection of no-fee mutual funds, of course do option trading, etc. Their commissions are higher than Datek, but reasonable. ($25 for online trades.) It would seem idea for an IRA. But customer service seems worse than Datek, if you can imagine that. When I was trading options with them, I found most of their reps completely unknowledgable about options.

They are building their own web site that will eventually have online trading. But after talking with a co-worker who worked on their current on-line mutual fund trading (now in beta) I was not encouraged.
