Investment catalysts...most people here can identify an undervalued investment, but equally as important is identification of a catalyst. I am putting together a list of catalysts that can drive a share price upwards. So far I have:

Controlled by company:
1. New management
2. Share buy-backs
3. Spin-offs
4. Asset sales
5. Change in corporate strategy
6. Activist investors
7. M&A activity

Outside:

1. Industry consolidation
2. Cyclicality

*List excludes special situation events such as rights offerings, bankrupt securities, distressed situations,etc...

....if possible can you all please list the top 3 catalysts in your experience that drive the share price? Also, please feel free to contribute to the list.

Thanks.
