Where is all of the money going to come from to develop all of this? Have you asked yourself the same question with regard to the alternative energy sources you favor? It's all going to require taxpayer subsidies. But I want baseload power, not part-time power and nuclear (and it's related technologies like Thorium) fits that need very well. As for waste, I'd be fine if we shot it into the sun via a rail-gun (powered by a nuke plant.. ;0) Right now, all the taxpayer money being spent subsidizing wind and solar is what I consider "wasted" because it doesn't meet our economic needs. We have plenty of windmills in my state and I'm still amazed when I see them standing still on a windy day. Hawk
