I'm not familiar with the RI bill, but it looks like the proposal has not gone anywhere -- i.e., "no action" as of June 27, not even a committee referral. Most introduced bills don't get enacted. On the other hand, the more these types of bills get introduced, the more likely things are to happen eventually.
Jerald: Every one has a personal risk point, and it sounds like you are uncomfortable right now. I would have been uncomfortable with IDX at 3, and I would have been wrong. (But I would often be right in similar circumstances.) On the other hand, if you want a lot more safety, you could wait until the stock hits 50, if it ever does, or go to a perfectly validated stock like IBM. But that's a different investment strategy. Don't agree with you, though, that the stock is riskier than ever; what company-specific information are you relying on? |
