Evidently Jesus simply overpowered a deity possessed fig tree.
Killed it.
At least temporarily.

Personally, I think deity competition is, well, healthy.
You want to get what you pay for.

In other words, if I'm going to dedicate my life to an invisible savior I WANT A WINNER.
