Economies need spenders, spenders need jobs and more than four months of income.

i'm in agreement with the article, except the above. economies don't need spenders as much as savers. they need savers for capital formation. spending will happen naturally when people satisfy their wants and needs. but spending can only happen when people have jobs. and jobs can only be created when there is capital formation. and capital formation comes from savings. we need to encourage saving, not spending.
