Al,
>>Off Topic<< I'm always trying to find ways to cram more info on my 17" monitor also. I even got some reading glasses so I could see smaller resolutions: 1280x1024. I finally compromised, but I really need a dual monitor system.
I've got a couple of questions if you don't mind. I'll probably be calling PC Quote tomorrow too. The only place I've been able to find moneyflow is under studies for tables. The only choices I have for market minder is symbol, last price, dir last, and net change. That's why I've never used this feature, seemed like a handicapped board view to me. Obviously I'm missing something, either in my software, or more likely my brain. So I've set up a table to track moneyflow. That link feature you mentioned is pretty neat, and I discovered in the same menu that you can add a ticker to the level II screen, which I didn't know. I'm wondering why you use time and sales instead of a cascading ticker. It seems most daytraders do use time and sales, but the tickers are color coded and seem to give the same information and more. I just use t&s to check history, or to catch up on the trading flow for issues I haven't been watching on the ticker. Am I missing the boat here?
I really think the problems I've had are with PC Quote and not me. When things slow down, I can load a page that only has one ticker and boardview on it with only a couple of symbols. Same delay. At the same time any other internet applications are running full speed. But at other times of fairly heavy volume, all is running fine. When ticker movement slows down, I get suspicious and check the quotes from another source. It is difficult to pinpoint the source of the problem. I have called S&P Comstock to see if they would give me a free trial to see if they're better, but they won't. Are you using ISDN or cable modem or ???
