It remains to be seen, even assuming the most favorable final rules next week, whether the entry price for the new whitespace devices will combine with solid business model execution, operation, and adoption, to lead to minimal cost devices and/or service a couple/few generations down the road.

Hard to say at this point, how to judge success or failure, and when there will be sufficient meaningful data to make that judgment. 2-3 years minimum in my view.

I feel pretty safe in saying, about a year from now (which is not enough time in my opinion) you will have people declaring massive failure and massive success, at the same time. It's quite possible they will both be right ;o)
