Doubtful - the lowend is 100+ and the highend is 400+ until USA fossil fuels run out - I'd say we have plenty of time to develop economically viable alternatives. One way or another the economics will make alternatives viable - no need to artificially force the conversion so that the rest of the world can enjoy our exit from the market and then turn around and produce everything at a lower cost. Unless of course you share the anti-colonialism of Obama and wish western nations to pay for their excesses now and shift the resources to poor nations to enjoy - sort of spreading the carbon wealth. It's not a USA only conversion - the entire world will convert when it pencils out.
