Frankly I think the whole world got this thing really messed up. Who cares if he burns the Qurans? Do you know what the Islamic directive for Qurans not being used by a Muslim are? I checked and if you guessed they should be burned you would have gotten the right answer.

Of course his intention was to humiliate Muslims and personally I think many of them could use a lesson in humility. If everyone would have just gone on about their business, it would have been a non-event.

Its surprising to you that Muslims are making a big deal over this Koran burning. Why?

What good came of this? Every credible source, Muslim and Non-Muslim, was condemning this man for his antics. And what good is this pile of religious literature doing anyone? None. A lot of people dishonored themselves by over reacting and this guy certainly did nothing good for himself, his community, or America. It did give genuine leaders in America a chance to take a principle stand, so maybe some good will come of that. Go ahead and burn them just don't disgrace America with the theatrical provocations in the process.

What you say makes sense but unfortunately, there are people like Jones in the world who want attention and even more unfortunately, the media is all too willing to oblige them.
