Less, I think that's a pretty good defense of the Koran, though I still think the more violent parts haven't clearly been made obsolete by the later Surahs. It reminds me more of "peace and unity" by means of conquest, both military and political.

Anyway, let's just agree to disagree with respect to the differences between Christianity and Islam. The beliefs and doctrines are vastly different, especially when it comes to faith-based vs. works-based salvation.

I also realize that my comments will come across as rather arrogant to someone who thinks I have no authority to proclaim one faith as superior and another faith as inferior. And that impression would be correct based on what little qualifications I can present as some random guy on the Internet. All I can do is state my opinion in a humble manner, though the humble part is still something I need to improve upon personally.
