Looks like Jennifer Lopez really is going to be one of the judges on the 10 season of American Idol. She reportedly has signed a one-year, $12 million deal with Fox.

The Los Angeles Times thinks the addition of Jennifer to Idol just might be a good thing.

"Lopez has always been about the package," writes Gerrick D. Kennedy, "much like former judge Paula Abdul (though Lopez is, you know, a bit more eloquent in her delivery, as she proved in her stint as mentor a few years back), and hopefully that shows."

Idol producers have not officially named the new judges -- also expected to include Randy Jackson and Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler -- though that announcement could come at any time, since the next round of auditions for Season 10 will start shortly.
