CS- i trade from home- was gonna soes- and got a "textbook' {very hard to get} and have some good things to say about soes- first off a successful trader will start with 100k and have at least 50% more behind him- as far as trading goes- the average ticket here- in ny area soes rooms is 22- so r/t is $44 and there may be other fees added if you don't trade enough- the rooms also get a desk fee if you don't trade enough- i prefer to trade in my robe or "wears" so office trading ain't for me- i do miss the l2 screen and the other huys in a soes room- but i don't wanna stay on the tape all day- i have traded 0 times a day and 50 times a day from home thru 3 accounts- the most profitable trades{ROI for year to year was the buy and hold strategy- i gained 200% weathering the storm in one stock for a small investor who doesn't want to do this and get carpal tunnel- that is the best way to trade- btw trading thru datek you will often get soesed by their watcher sys-but if you get 1/32{@1k sh} you net $10 as opposed to losing $12 in an office- very very advantageous when the market turns against you- you need 7 winning 1/8 trades=$875 -- {3 lose 1/8 trades----} =$325-- net cash=$500 less 10xRT{$44) =-440 net profit = $60 sorry but "trading" this way is foolish and silly- i was going to open a soes room and realized that it was a poor business to get into and stay in. plus when you are having a very poor day- you can get hurt REAL bad- and you still hafta make the min trades or your rate goes up- you are in essence a trader working for someone else- using your capital. think twice and watch the soes traders for a full day every day for a week, if they won't let you- try elsewhere. taxi
