If the Republicans ended up controlling the Senate with a Castle voting with the Obama administration, what good would control of the Senate amount to?

We don't want the Republicans to be a Democrat-Lite party, but a real opposition party. Republicans like Castle benefit a lot personally (getting perks, political favors, pork, contributions) by being swing votes ... they get courted by both sides - Democrats trying to get them to defect, Republicans trying to keep them from it. But they debase the Republican brand, blur the distinction between the parties, and betray the conservatism most Republicans want their party to represent.
