I don't really see that happening, at least not very often. If older people can't handle the jobs they have, they can get less stressful ones- but retirement in the 60's? I don't think so- not on my dollar. You want people sitting around doing nothing and getting paid for it? I'm not very generous about that- not with the poor, and not with anyone else. I don't mind minimal assistance- I don't want anyone starving, but I'm not for grandpa and grandma cruising around the world on my nickles, or my kids' nickles. I AM generous about retraining, so if you want to retrain for that less physical job, because your poor old bones just can't handle whatever it is you are doing, fine- go for it, I think the government should assist you. But pay you to go out to pasture? I'm not a huge fan of that.
