You seem to be trying to conflate "drug misuse and abuse" in those hospital admission statistics with "illicit drug use" but that is a mistake.

No, Buddy. So far, I have shown you data that confirms that Blacks were arrested for drug abuse violations at 3.18 times the rate of Whites, on a race-proportional basis, in 2009.

Then, I showed you that Blacks were admitted to the ER for illicit drug abuse at 3.83 times the rate of Whites, on a race-proportional basis, in 2008.

Regarding your latest comments, the emergency room visit statistics are broken down by categories, including "all drug misuse and abuse" and "illicit drug use". I cited both. BOTH categories showed that Blacks have disproportionately high incidents of illicit drug abuse, as compared to Whites. Do you not understand that?

Correct, and that is why I also posted the illicit drug category separately, which paints a far bleaker picture for Blacks (and your argument), as compared to the "all drug abuse and misuse category".

"Also, (second mistake), your look at 'emergency room visits for illicit drug use' IGNORES the single most popular 'illicit drug' among whites, marijuana, which of course cause *no* emergency room visits..."

Nonsense. Why lie, Buddy? Marijuana is certainly included in DAWN's list of illicit drugs that resulted in emergency room visits. The data is there for all to see.

Below is the link to all of the raw data in a spreadsheet. You can crunch the numbers for yourself if you are convinced I am lying, Buddy.

dawninfo.samhsa.gov

summary...

Category : Race-proportional Black rate times the White rate

All illicit drug-related visits to ER : 3.83 (Blacks dominate)
Cocaine : 6.56 (Blacks dominate)
Heroin : 2.44 (Blacks dominate)
Marijuana : 2.67 (Blacks dominate)
Stimulants : 0.60 (Whites dominate)
Amphetamines : 0.64 (Whites dominate)
Methamphetamine : 0.52 (Whites dominate)
MDMA (Ecstasy) : 3.70 (Blacks dominate)
LSD : 0.28 (Whites dominate)
PCP : 13.91 (Blacks dominate)
Inhalants : 0.40 (Whites dominate)

How so? All available government data validates my point that Blacks abuse illicit drugs far more than Whites, on a race-proportional basis. They are arrested for illicit drug abuse far more than Whites. They go to the ER for illicit drug abuse far more than Whites. What else do you need to see to understand this, Buddy?

Are you suggesting that both races abuse illicit drugs at the same rate, but that Whites somehow get away with it because of the color of their skin, while Blacks are punished for the same reason?

The fact that Blacks are receiving far more emergency room care for illicit drug abuse completely negates your arguments, Buddy. Why would Whites not visit the emergency room at the same rate as Blacks, if they were suffering from illicit drug abuse issues at the same rate? How does racism and discrimination explain that?

Isn't it odd to you that the race-proportional rates of arrests and emergency room visits for Blacks who abused illicit drugs are about the same?

There is no secret racism at work here, Buddy. The fact is that Blacks abuse illicit drugs far more than Whites, on a race-proportional basis. Every official metric verifies this fact.
