All of this brings up a question. What good is an "ideologically pure" candidate who also happens to be completely unqualified for the position she's running for? This is one of the big problems I have with the Tea Party. If they were backing candidates who have a clue, it would be one thing. But no, they just want people who can endlessly repeat certain talking points. From the evidence, it appears that if those people happen to be good looking women, their competence or lack thereof is not an issue.
