Indeed, LJ, I do jest.

But I also have this (apparently naïve) belief that it makes sense, when electing members of Congress, to select people who have some level of basic competence. I would think that having some kind of grip on reality would be a requirement, as well.

People like Sharron Angle and Christine O'Donnell do not meet that standard.

I don't quite understand why Tea Party supporters don't care about that, despite what Dale said.
