Ted, you're not going to close the gap between rich and poor by increasing taxes on the higher incomes. All you'll end up doing is punishing those with non-steady incomes, which include the vast majority of small business owners. The rich will just find new ways to avoid the taxes. The rich are indeed gaming the system, but it goes well beyond "tax cuts for the rich." It suits them just fine for mainstream liberals to live or die on this issue, because it's a convenient distraction. Tenchusatsu
