As I said it before Savitz copies and pastes - he provides visibility for the "financial community" - he does not know which side is up or down but who cares 24 hours later?

1:26 PM Semi Cap Equipment: Caris Cuts Targets On Many Stocks
Posted by Eric Savitz

Caris & Co. analyst Ben Pang today cut his target prices on a host of semiconductor equipment stocks, asserting that weak macro data points and below-seasonal Q3 chip demand expectations “are limiting visibility and creating more uncertainty into the semiconductor cycle.”

In addition to weak PC builds in the second half, Pang says he’s seeing indications of higher inventories in the wireless phone food chain. He writes that his checks find build plans for cell phone printed circuit boards in Q4 are running below seasonal levels, and could further impact foundry utilization rates.

Pang cut his rating on Brooks Automation (BRKS) to Average from Above Average; he reduced his price target on Brooks, Applied Materials, ASML, Cymer, KLA-Tencor, Lam Research, Mattsonm, Novellus and Varian Semiconductor.
