You can bet I'll be watching with great interest.

If the Santos Basin were in the GOM, think how different things might be right now in terms of politics and also when all that oil might finally be monetized... which will happen much sooner with it offshore Brazil than if it were in the GOM right now.

I noticed with great interest that NOV bought APL this week to get into the FPSO-related biz. PBR has irrevocably changed the nature off deepwater production along with everything else they've done -- FPSOs were around before PBR, but PBR is the company that really pushed/used them in a big, big way and brought the first one into the GOM.
