FWIW, I bought a x2 modem and think it is great. I don't see how you can put down a product that you never used. If you want even faster access then by all means go to ISDN or xDSL or whatever is faster. But the occasional user of the Internet may not want to spend $40+ extra dollars per month for faster than x2 speeds. My ISP does support x2. If they did not I would drop them and find one that did!
