"It is a battle. But we did get democracy. I don't know how though, knowing human nature-lol.?" Did we really? The constitution gives us a democratic REPUBLIC, not a pure democracy. With today's technology, a pure democracy would be EASY! If we can keep track of everyone's credit card status, we could accurately count their VOTES! My mom, a great student of history, believed that the founders had set up America to be run by the educated landed gentry. Anything other than that was just Potemkin villages, circuses for the mob. She was FINE with that. The elite SHOULD run the country, was how she saw it.
