Thus spoke David F.:
"I think it is crucial that ATPX brings a PR firm om board based on a prior post from someone that knows the CEO and said that he is not a "talker". They need an experienced IR/PR firm to explain the market and investment community to him, take the inititive for getting the word out and free his time to running the business, which from all accounts, he is good at."

As a long time lurker, I must express great appreciation to all on this board. I am long LUNN, now ATPX and really enjoy this thread.

However, If we think about it, the purpose of public companies is to make money for people who invested in them. Recently, the trend has been toward speculation where the welfare of the company and its investors is prostituted to the greed of the speculators.

A PR firm, including the cost of the mailings is substantial. This comes out of company profits. And who does that benefit? Only the speculators and unethical insiders through a temporary rise in the stock price. The only valid reason to do a lot of PR is to gain attention to the company if it needs to pump up the stock price prior to an IPO or secondary offering.

Don't get me wrong. I love to speculate. That is why I am here. But we also have to understand that Corporate Management, and their stockholders have a different long range agenda. Much of the stock price girations are due to brokers churning the stocks. They are the ones who benefit most, and might starve if the market steps back from the present "irrational exhuberance".

Now back to the lurking mode. . .
