Russia to cut 100,000 bureaucrat jobs by 2013: minister By Agence France-Presse, Updated: 9/20/2010 news.ph.msn.com Russia plans to slash 100,000 bureaucrat jobs by 2013, Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said on Monday, in a drive to reduce costs and modernize the country's bloated bureaucracy. "We expect that in the three years more than 100,000 federal civil servant jobs will be cut," Kudrin was quoted by Russian news agencies as saying. "The overall savings from this by the third year will amount to 43 billion rubles (1.4 billion dollars)," he added.
