Rovi Signs Technology Pact With Apple

Analysts said it was likely that Rovi was providing a technology to be used inside Apple's iTunes service, and possibly in connection with the recently re-launched Apple TV product from the consumer-electronics giant.

Collins Stewart analyst John Vinh estimated the deal was likely similar to a recent pact struck with Comcast Corp. and pegged the revenue gain at about $10 million a year for Rovi.
