ET Lernout & Hauspie Founders Guilty in Fraud By CHARLES FORELLE BRUSSELS—The founders of Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products NV, once the darling of the European high-tech scene, were deemed guilty by a court in Ghent of fraud violations in the accounting scandal that led to the company's downfall a decade ago. Jo Lernout and Pol Hauspie were each given sentences of five years, of which they were expected to serve three, a court spokesman said.
