[offtopic to Sam] Re: Fast track defeat/deferral should be bearish for $US Darn, I shouldn't have waved the Canadian flag so quickly. ;-) In any case, with or without freer trade, more than 3/4 of the world's population still have the desire to "catch up" with US standard and quality of life. Chip based products will facilitate that desire; the leading Capital Equipment makers should continue to see above normal growth. The only question, IMO, is the magnitude of "above normal".
