Re: Deschutes and multiprocessor servers

According to International Data Corp. (IDC), the market for Intel-based servers, costing less than $25,000 consisted of 33% single processor units, 55% Dual (2-way) processor units and 12% Quad (4-way) processor systems.

It looks like Deschutes is addressing a tiny market. How many servers are going to be sold with > 4 processors? How fast will the market develop? Why is the market for quad systems so small today? Won't it get even smaller with faster CPU speeds?
