I think it goes beyond the issue of unwanted advances. Modesty and sexual privacy are involved as well.

Women who go topless on the beach choose to do so. They have a choice about allowing others to view their bodies.

Fortunately, the military does not force both sexes to shower together. Women are not forced to allow men to see their bodies.

Now, if the military allows gays/lesbians to join, it will force normal men and women to expose themselves to homos. This is a problem.

Like many people, I feel uncomfortable around homos because I think they are particularly unstable, mentally ill, and unnatural. I do not want homos watching me, especially while I am naked.
