Daniel, how can Java beat Windows98 out the door?

Windows98 is an OS. Java is a language. Not sure why people keep making this inappropriate comparison.

Java still needs an OS. And what OS is that? Anybody know yet?

Any such OS will be at a disadvantage, since it will be new and not yet fully fleshed-out.
