This may surprise you, but I preferred all the Bush tax cuts be allowed to expire. I also favor taking an ax to military spending. So don't confuse me for a traditonal conservative or a TP folk. I agree there's no painless way out. The sooner we start, the better unless there's a political cabal back there somewhere that's already got a fiscal default plan ready and waiting. Honestly, this thought pops into my head now and then because it seems no one in either party seems legitimately concerned about deficits.
