Candle, Are you the same Candle stick from the Apcc thread? Don't do it, three thousand dollars for what. I have been going at Block's for two months without success. And they do not charge for training. Ask All tech if they garantee you will make money. I bet you will get a bewildered look on his face. If so run, run like the wind.
Let me give you my experence with Block. They make you play with make believe money for two weeks (100,000) and they train you to run their cybertrade software. I was fairy nowledgable with window 95 and daytrading so the software didn't take me long to learn. I say the guy who runs Block in Boston gave me about 30 or 45 minutes of his time in the two weeks training period. He didn't tell me of any sure thing. The only difference on my daytrading at home and Block is they say to watch the sp500 index. I use the nasdaq index when I daytrading at home. When I was training I was routinly making $1,500 to $2,500 using my buying power of $40,000. I would not train unrealistically using the 100,000 buying power they give you. Of course the more money you have the easier it is to make money but not much. This next statement will get you. I was into my later stages of my training. I ask a trader there why it's so easy to make money and he laughs at me, It sent chills through my body, he said wait till you use real money. When he said that, I looked around Block's office there is about 25 computers and their was roughly 8 to 10 traders. Thinking about that laugh made me ask Jeff the guy who runs Block this Question. I ask if I am going this great on Demo then why is this office nearly empty ? Where are all the former brokers? Why be a broker if you can do this everyday without the hassle of trading for other. He gave me that bewildered look and really didn't answer my question. He just said you need lots of equity and brokers are young with no money. One thing about Block they do not pressure you to trade and they are cheaper in commission if you started off bad they will lower the commission a little so you can regain your confidence. It just did not work out for me Joe
Oh one more thing the Demo works a lot different then the real thing.
