- Significant Nickel/Zinc Mineralization at Taiga Project

Donald McInnes, President of Blackstone Resources Inc.("Blackstone")
on behalf of joint venture partner Glenhaven Resources Inc. ("Glenhaven")
is pleased to announce that the 1997 drilling program at the Taiga Project,
Yukon Territory has successfully discovered a previously unrecognized zone
of significant nickel/zinc mineralization. Discovery drill holes REN97-07
and 97-08 have only partially tested a 2 1/2 kilometre long
nickel-zinc-molybdenum in soil anomaly which remains open to the east and
west (see attached map "Drill Hole Locations - MM Grid area).

Drill holes REN97-03, -05, -10 were lost due to bad ground conditions.
The other seven drill holes did not test coincident nickel-zinc-molybdenum
soil geochemical anomalies with barite present. The 1997 drilling program
was reconnaissance in nature and was designed to test 3 target areas that
occur over a lateral extent of 10 kilometres within a 34 kilometre belt of
favourable geology. A complete compilation of the 1997 drilling and
sampling results is underway to prepare for the next phase of drilling and
surface exploration which will be principally targeted on expanding the
mineralized nickel/zinc zone in the discovery area.
The nickel mineralization encountered in drill holes REN97-07 and -08 is
associated with and lies directly above a barite horizon. Over 1 kilometre
of coincident barite and nickel-zinc-molybdenum is soil anomalies remain
untested in the discovery area in addition to more than 15 targets in the
southern claim block alone. Management believes that barite occurrences
with coincident nickel-zinc-molybdenum soil anomalies represent excellent
targets for the discovery of additional nickel-zinc mineralization. Follow
up exploration is also being planned for 10 new properties (see attached
map "Taiga Basin Land Holdings and Target Areas").
Expressions of interest in the project have been received from a number
of mining companies. Discussions concerning the future financing and
technical development of the project are ongoing.
In Nevada, drilling on the Raven Property has been completed with
results pending and drilling on the Alum Property will be commencing within
the next two weeks. The first phase of exploration consisting of landsat
Imagery and surface exploration on the La Turquesa and El Diamantle
Concessions, Mexico has been completed, results are pending.
