The easiest way to settle the issue of terms of trade between USA n Orc is to temporarily peg both paper currencies at current usd:rmb exchange rate to oz of gold, I.e. Usd 1300 per oz and rmb (6.7 x 1300) per oz, and watch which way the gold flows. I just saw someone deal some china-made light truffers for fluorescent / led tubes. China ex-works wholesale price w/o haggling is below usd 5/PC. Home depot price was usd 50 (2-3tube variety) or I was told. What exchange rate adjust for that difference?
