Hi Chip,

Well to show you what I know - I took 2/3 of my 401k to cash at the close.erg

I have never been of this mindset but I believe the quants are harvesting the frequent 10% swings within the sideways price action.

I'm still a long term buy and hold in two stocks - one of which pays 2.0% + dividend.

I've just begun to swing trade the range and have at least made chump change while I'm watching it.

My 2 stocks are both having very good growth and margin improvement with large cash hordes and no debt.

So if the world goes down the tube at least they'll still be there and so will I.

I'm always more optimistic and think that this real estate mess is concentrated on minorities that were the recipients of the multicultural community reinvestment act.The politicos passed legislation that prevent community redlining and have killed their capital.

That being said 90% of the people are still working and a large percent of them have no mortgage.

The engative is overstated and recovery will be long term but faster than the majority describe.IMO

I see money going inot steady dividend paying companies and that is a start towards equitites gaining in favor.

Those of us that have been here a long time ,know it takes positive price action to get tha masses in and then gains to get the milkman telling you his hot tip.

To see money leave fixed and chase up dividend payers is an encouraging start after a very long hiatus.

That is a good thing.

So is seeing your posts back here.It was beauty to my eyes to see you pitchforks on charts and as I recal I always marveled at your forward time projections.

Good to see you here!

Bob
