Actually it didn't, but I see how you made that inference. Obviously, "high Asian exposure" and "good potential" and not mutually exclusive, just as no Asian exposure and "good potential" are not perfectly correlated.

There were four factors:

1) Asian risk

2) Companies whose prospects have led analysts to increasing earnings expectations

3) "Cheap" stock price based on PEGY.

4) Stocks that didn't do well in OCT 27 dump, were dumped.

In Schlumberger's case, 2 + 3 + 4 overwhelmed 1.

Far more suspect, in my view, is Time Warner, with no PEGY at all and mediocre LT growth estimates. Always potential, lousy execution. Makes me suspect they needed a list of 10 "globals" and threw in a joker.

That theory of "10" might partly explain Schlumberger too.
