True, however, the most difficult aspect of the supply chain, for example, integrated circuit design, testing, precision instrumentation, etc. remains mostly a US job, with Europe and Japan having some footholds (ASML, Tokyo Electron, etc)

The rest of the stuff can be built anywhere, just not as efficiently as in Asia.

It's irrelevant however. Business in Japan, China, and the US will not let governments do something as ridiculous as a trade war.
