Chemical & Engineering News (11/3/97, pg. 9) did a medium size news piece on the
Monsanto Genomics deals and mentions RE: the INCY Monsanto deal that:
"Although the multiyear partnership is the broadest and largest financial commitment
Incyte has secured to date, monetary terms have not been made public."
I sure like the sound of that as some of their prior deals have been quite large, and
virtually every deal is at least 8 figures. Thus, this one is either high 8 figures, or could
even possibly be a 9 figure deal. YOW!!!!
Also, INCY is proceeding with the construction from the ground up of a 95,000 sq. ft
building directly next to the existing headquarters in the Stanford Research Park, so
close to the existing building that you could hit it with a rock - the INCYTE Campus
grows on...... Among other things, it will be the new corporate headquarters too. They
are doing the sardine thing in their exising spaces. Lease with Stanford has been signed,
design is under way, and the contractor has been chosen. Not sure on completion
target date, but as per INCY tradition, you can bet that you can't build the space fast
enough to keep up with the growth.
