Granted, but my point all along was that this type of debasement is very bad for fixed income retirees as you can see from my first post about the matter. Also, for the last 10 years, real wages have failed to even keep pace with the govt's subdued and underreported inflation numbers which has hurt working class families. Real inflation, which has been much greater, has the potential to totally decimate the living standards of the middle class. Unfortunately, most Americans do not play the index futures or even buy gold and thus come out big losers in the whole equation. And of the ones that do, the vast majority not do it nearly as well as you Cheif.
