I've always felt Boxer and Brown will win. The Chron non-endorsement disappoints me. One wonders what is so important about running a state that somebody will spend 100M+ out of pocket. What is the gain for this investment? Not just power and title and ego. What is the gain for Whitman? == In '04, nobody got more votes in one state than Boxer; she got more than either Kerry or Bush did here. When I have seen Boxer in action, she doesn't come off well........a prima donna. However, I have no idea if she's a good senator and good for CA. So I leave it to you. However, like you, a non endorsement by the SF Chron was a surprise to me. I think Brown will make a good governor.....much better than elitist Whitman, and he might get some control over the Dems in the legislature since he has a long established CA name. I just hope what seems to be happening in CA...the Dems coming home....is the beginning of a trend for the rest of the country.
