"What do you think of Whitman's statement that she's not beholding to anyone because of her 100 million dollar investment in herself?" She's in it for her family, and any benefits accruing to her friends will be incidental. As for the other 36 million of us, she won't have to be concerned when the nearest library to me gets closed cuz she doesn't go there.
