Paul, re: Intel PMMX at 290 MHz. It crashed with "high end" apps, i.e., Adobe Photoshop. Also, I don't think Mr. Anand would dare keep his PC powered up overnight. What the test proves is that Intel SLOT 1 is at most 10% faster than Intel socket 7 at the same clock speed and without L2 cache, the two will be equivalent. Petz
